The Greatest Road Trip USA? - Our Round USA Road Tour.

The State of Mississippi, USA

Part of a year long trip from Sept ’94 - Sept ’95 through 36 USA States and 2 Canadian Provinces by Jean and Graham Beven in ‘Serendipity’ their 30 foot Winnebago Chieftain.

Mississippi - Round Trip USA

We only spent 3 days 'passing through' the state of Mississippi, USA as there was nothing on our must see list of places to visit.

There are however eleven National Wildlife Refuges, five National Parks and ---- State Parks in the state of Mississippi.

The State Tourist Office for the state of Mississippi, USA is: Mississippi Division of Tourism - PO Box 1705, Ocean Springs MS 39564

18th November 1994 crossed from Alabama into Mississippi State, heading for Five Star Resorts near Biloxi. We arrived at resort mid afternoon. Graham braved a swim in the cold pool! We had a game of pitch and put golf and then did some stuff on ‘Dippy’ cutting out and sewing the wheel covers. Had dinner – Steak salad and chips! Washed down with a bottle of Californian Burgundy – followed by doughnuts!

The following day went for a walk along a nature trail: saw squirrels and turtles. Played golf and chilled out. Later in the afternoon did some more home making in ‘Dippy’. Working on the bedroom curtains. There was a dance on the resort in the evening with a live band – free buffet and cola! It’s just like being on holiday.

20th Didn’t budge! Still having a battery charging problem. Plenty of advice from other campers, nothing works! Then it does, fingers crossed? Jean finished the bedroom curtains off – very nice – better than the burgundy velour that was there before. Watched TV in the evening. Thinking of moving on to Louisiana the next day 21st Nov.
