Planning our epic journeyPart of the year long trip from Sept ’94 - Sept ’95 through 36 USA States and 2 Canadian Provinces by Jean and Graham Beven in 'Serendipity' their 30 foot Winnebago 'Chieftain'. ~~~~~~ In this section: Conditions of entry into the USA Visas - Do I need a visa to visit the USA USA- Stay for more than 90 days The planning for this epic journey took us about six months. Plan a road trip in usa? Just deciding where we were going to visit took an age. We took a large scale map of the USA and literally placed dots where places of interest to us were - then we joined up the dots in a rational way considering the time of year we were going. We planned on keeping to the southern states from October to April.
We had to arrange to transfer money to the states.
We had all the dental treatment we could in the UK - Got jabbed up, tetanus etc.
Arranged travel and health insurance. We use Professional Travel for ours Obtain a visa as we were stopping longer than six weeks.
Arranged return flights. We use Professional Travel for ours Found out the requirements for driving and travelling in the states.
Epic journey begins.
