From North Carolina 25th
Overnight at The Oaks at Point South, South Carolina.
26th October 1994 Travelled all day, with lunch on a beach, surf side,
Down Hwy 17 towards Brunswick, South Carolina.
The exhaust started making a funny noise! Checking it out there was
a good sized hole in the drivers side tail pipe – after Graham had
tried to fix it – it
was worse!
Bought new material for lounge area curtains and went looking for a sewing
machine. As a consequence we ended up sleeping on K-Mart car park having
bought one there! A very quiet night.
27th Continued heading south through forest and farmland. Called in at a roadside ‘muffler
shop’ and
had a section of tailpipe fashioned to slide over the remaining good
section of original tail pipe. They had a really neat machine that
flared the pipe to fit perfectly over the old one! A perfect seal without
a weld.
Moved south into Georgia
